The filter control system Aquantic Goslar, we used besides the cabinet design, cabinet construction and the concept of filtercycle control and also the visualization data logging to the distributed controls.
The swimming pool control is realized by eight smaller, distributed PLCs. Although the circuits interact with each other, was taken care of a strong cohesion in the individual circuits and PLCs. The coupling of the modules is limited to a few signals. This provides a continuation of the filter cycle operation even with defective parts.
Due to the state orientated programming the condition of the facilities is visible at glace.
The network is hosted on a dedicated LAN. To bypass the distances of over a kilometer the MPI bus is used. Access from the outside is secured through a VPN service. The access on the control network is of course physically separated.
The visualizations have been locked up in a XEN based virtualized enclosed environment, to ensure a strong foreclosed access from outside. This will ensure a secure operation for several decades.
